Joshua Ting

LEGAL TRAINEE

Joshua is a driven and intellectually rigorous legal trainee who brings with him a distinguished academic and public policy background. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Warwick and a Master of Arts in International Political Economy (Distinction) from King’s College London, equipping him with a nuanced understanding of the intersection between law, economics, and global affairs.

Prior to commencing his legal training, Joshua served with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, where he held appointments as Assistant Director in both the ASEAN and Americas Divisions. In these roles, he was directly involved in high-level trade negotiations, including the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement and various bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements. He played a key role in advancing Singapore’s economic interests through policy development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic negotiations with foreign counterparts.

Joshua’s experience in government has instilled in him a disciplined, analytical, and solutions-oriented approach to legal practice. He brings to the firm a strong foundation in legal reasoning, policy analysis, and advocacy, coupled with the ability to navigate complex, high-stakes environments with clarity and precision. He is currently undergoing his Relevant Legal Training under the supervision of Mr. Edmond Pereira, where he assists in client engagements, legal drafting, and court proceedings
